MSWDO of San Juan, Batangas run, operate and manage properly the programs implementation of the MSWDO. Rules and guidelines are essential to manage its operations.  

The Head of office who is the Mayor and the SB members will be consulted on major decision to make. Policies of the MSWDO will be set up with the approval of the LCE.  The staff has the responsibility to adhere to such guidelines, rules and regulations to maintain a good working environment. The Head of the MSWDO has the responsibility in overseeing if programs and services are implemented in accordance with the set standards and policies as mentioned in the Manual of Operation.

HIRING POLICY FOR DAY CARE WORKERS

 

 

Career Overview


Day Care Workers care for 3-4 years old children when parents and other family members are unavailable. They care for children’s basic needs.

Work Schedules:

 

The Day Care Worker is required to hold at least two (2) sessions per day for five (5) days in a week, with a minimum of 3 hours per session. After the session the remaining 2 hours will spend in preparation of technical reports and accomplishment for the day. 

In case of emergency or disaster, the day care workers will assist the MSWDO in relief and rehabilitation activities in the locality.   

 

Honorarium

 

The Local Government Unit of San Juan, Batangas will provide starting honorarium of Php 3,500.00 per month to newly hired day care worker. Aside from the basic pay, he/she will receive “children participation fee which is also shouldered by the LGU amounting to Php 60.00 per child. 

 

Incentive

 

After a year in the service, the day care worker will receive Php500.00  as an additional incentive for his/her continues service.  And for those day care workers who passed the DSWD accreditation, he/she will be given additional cash incentive for being accredited.

 

Important qualities

 

Communication skills.day care workers must be able to talk with parents and colleagues about the progress of the children in their care. They need both good speaking skills to provide this information effectively and good listening skills to understand parents’ instructions.

 

Decision-making skills. Good judgment is necessary for day care care workers so they can respond to emergencies or difficult situations.

 

Instructional skills.day care workers need to be able to explain things in terms young children can understand.

 

Interpersonal skills.day care workers need to work well with people to develop good relationships with parents, children, and colleagues.

 

Patience. Working with children can be frustrating, so the day care workers need to be able to respond to overwhelming and difficult situations calmly.

 

Physical stamina. Working with children can be physically taxing, so day care workers should have a lot of energy.
